Derek and Kiyomi on Sunday

Mamma Annette proposes that all who want to come and say hi to Derek and Kiyomi when they fly in come by the house on Sunday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. No dinner will be served, nobody is obligated to come, and everyone is invited!

Nov. 1st

So on November 1st I am making a yummy chili, for those who don't like chili let me know and I'll try and find an alternative. Here are some side items you may choose to bring if you like.

Corn bread, corn muffins, or just plain rolls: Coralee

Remember that we will meet at our home in Spanish Fork at 5:30 to eat for those who can come that early. Pictures will be at Sears in the Provo Towne Center at 6:30 (wear a full-button-up solid color shirt) and we'll do birthday and treats after (time permitting for those with school in the morning). Corey and Emmie have November birthdays. Happy Birthday Corey and Emmie!

what to wear

Mom has figured out what she would like people to wear to the family portrait session. All of us should wear a solid color (no white) button up shirt (no tie guys) with slacks. If this poses a problem call mom. Little ones can be more flexible but should try and wear solid colors.

Final Nov. Plans

It is proposed that we gather at our home in Spanish Fork on November 1st, a Tuesday before the wedding, to celebrate November birthdays, eat dinner, and get a family portrait done while Derek and Kiyomi are around. The portrait is scheduled to be done at 6:30 at Sears in Provo Towne Center. This will be a more traditional family picture that isn't associated with a certain event (such as the wedding). We know that this will be a time crunch for some who work but we are hoping that if you aren't able to come beforehand at 5:30 for dinner, you will be able to meet us at Sears and then eat with us afterwards. From our house it takes 10 minutes to get to Sears. I will be serving soup so it will be easy to eat early or late. The Sears people promised efficiency. The time it takes will all depend on whether individual families want their own portraits and so on. All in favor? All opposed?

Christmas Exchange

In order to capitalize on Derek and Kiyomi's visit we are going to exchange names for Christmas now so that those that have Derek and Kiyomi can give them their gifts to take home with them rather than ship them later and visa-versa. We are NOT opening gifts early though so don't get any hopes up. :) (Unless of course I am over-ruled which is always a possiblilty.) So here it goes:

november

So Alan and I are trying to figure out November. At first I had thought to invite you all here for Thanksgiving, but as Alan points out you will not all be able to sit down to eat. So here are two other possibilities. Please consider and vote. First, we could all help Mom with Thanksgiving and just go there and be so thankful for Nov. birthdays that we celebrate them then. Or you would all be invited to our home on Nov. 26th to celebrate birthdays but without any turkey, stuffing, or pies. What do you think?
