Announcement

Well we thought we'd let everyone know:

Katie and I are engaged! I proposed on Sunday while we were on vacation with her family and thankfully she said yes. :)

We have not set a certain date yet; it could be as early as September or as late as next May. We will let everyone know concerning timetables once we have an idea ourselves.

More food and stuff

I agree with Shannon - we need plenty of treats! :) I verified with Mom the following information:

• Bring enough cups for your meal, appropriate for what you're serving (e.g. if hot chocolate, bring hot temp. cups)
• Bring bowls or small plates if you need them for your meal (e.g. cereal, dessert)
  
• Bring napkins for your meal
  
• Shannon, Coralee and Mom will provide regular size plates and silverware
  

Don't bring preparation equipment (pans, etc.) because between Mom, Shannon and I, I'm sure we'll have enough.

I propose that everyone bring a treat or snack to share. I also propose that you try and provide paper goods for the meal you are preparing. I bought a big stack of plates so I don't think we'll need any of those though. Any comments?
