Fast Sunday
Boy, sorry I didn't post this on sunday, but here it is. The fast sunday and May birthdays get together is at Scott and Julie's house on Sunday, May 1st. That's this Sunday, so don't forget just because your calendar isn't turned to May yet. I want to have hawaiian haystacks (yes, I have been dreaming about this for a long time...I will make mine with cheese, pineapple, raisins, coconut, and green onions). I will do the rice and the chicken stuff, if someone will tell me what's in it. Feel free to sign up for one or more of the other things, listed below. Also, anyone who can bring tables and chairs, please do unless it's rainy, in which case we'll have to squish inside and we wouldn't be able to fit tables anyway. And now what you've all been waiting for:
cheese: Coralee
pineapple: Shannon
green onions: Coralee
coconut: Julie
green peppers: Coralee
chow mein noodles (if that is indeed what they're called...you know what I'm talking about):Shannon
celery: Julie
tomatoes: Coralee
Anyone who knows more about hawaiian haystacks than I do, feel free to add things I'm forgetting.
Craisins (better than raisins IMHO): Coralee
Possibly rolls if I get time: Coralee
Also
A green salad: Mom
dessert:Dawn
plates:Mom
napkins:Mom
Utensils:Mom
And just as a reminder, May birthdays include Jeffrey, Scott, Robyn, Stanley, and Alan The Graduate. I can't wait to see you all!

Chicken Gravy for Hawaiian Haystacks from the "101 Things To Do With A Slow Cooker" cookbook:
10-12 chicken tenders, cut in chunks
1 cup chicken broth
2 cans (10 3/4 oz each) cream of chicken soup, condensed
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
Place chicken in greased 3 1/2 to 5-quart slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Cook on high heat 3-4 hours or on low heat 6-8 hours. Makes 4-6 servings.
Coralee's Method:
2-3 boneless/skinless chicken breasts, cooked and chunked
2 cans (10 3/4 oz each) or cream of chicken soup, condensed (can use low- or no-fat with great results)
1 soup-can of milk
1/2 cup lite sour cream
Poultry seasoning, to taste
Toss it all in a pan or crock pot and heat thoroughly. (No worries on how long to heat since the chicken is pre-cooked.)
Mom says she will do whatever food item(s) is left (within reason). She will also bring plates (large for dinner and small for dessert unless otherwise advised), cups, napkins, and utensils. She will also plan to bring both folding tables if the weather permits.
I'll do the desserty!
